Many a times, we change few modifications in the programs and we are lost on what changes that we have made.

To check on the changes made, we need to go to Change management tools (Like Endevor or Changeman) or the SuperC compare (which can be done as a batch job or Foreground).

To minimize time, we can also do an inline compare of the element with the PROD element by entering the below ISPF command on the command line after opening the modified element.

COMP X ‘PROD.PDS(MEMBER)’

Differences will be shown as below

====== Deleted Prod Line
.OAAAA New Test Line

Same inline compare can be done between 2 PS datasets by opening the modified PS dataset and in the command line enter the below command

COMP X ‘OTHER.PS.DATASET.NAME’
