SRCHFOR – Mixed case

Whenever you do a SRCHFOR in a member list, to search for a string, your search string will automatically change to UPPER case. You will not be able to find a string that is in mixed case in any of your members in the PDS that you are searching. To get off this problem, just TYPE SRCHFOR in the command line and press ENTER. You will prompted with the below screen, where you have check (Mark with /) the “ALL CASE” option at the bottom. This will search the string even though it is present in any case.

Command ===>

You are about to search the members of the data set(s) specified.

Specify search string(s) and options and press ENTER to run the search.

Enter the END or the CANCEL command to cancel the search.
