ISPF – STOP THE POP-UP VIEW/EDIT ENTRY PANEL FROM DISPLAYING

In ISPF, whenever you try to view or edit a PS file. You will see a pop up screen which titles “VIEW/EDIT ENTRY PANEL”, before actually entering into the dataset. There is a way to stop this pop up screen from popping up each time.

1. GO TO 3.4 OPTION
   
2. MENTION THE FILE NAME AND ENTER
   
3. IN THE NEXT PANEL, SELECT THE ‘OPTIONS’ DROP DOWN
   
4. CHOOSE OPTION 1 I.E. DSLIST SETTINGS
   
5. UNCHECK ‘DISPLAY EDIT/VIEW ENTRY PANEL (*)’
   

By doing this, pop up screen can be avoided.
